Booking & Orders

Is your booking fee refundable?

The R650 preservation fee is non-refundable as we dedicate specific resources and time to your reserved wedding date.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Yes, we have a R1,500 minimum order requirement, which can be met with any combination of our preservation pieces.

What exactly is a commission?

A commission is a custom-created artwork made specifically for you using your wedding flowers. Each piece is uniquely designed based on your preferences and vision.

Do you accept returns?

Due to the personalized, one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, we do not accept returns. Each piece is custom-made using your specific wedding flowers.

Shipping & Logistics

What's the best way to ship my flowers?

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll provide detailed, step-by-step shipping instructions to ensure your precious blooms arrive safely at our studio.

I'm having a destination wedding. Can you preserve my flowers?

Absolutely! We work with couples from all locations. Our comprehensive shipping guidelines will help ensure your flowers travel safely to us, no matter where your celebration takes place.

What if I can't courier my flowers myself?

Please contact us directly at hello@atmos-fleur.co.za to discuss alternative arrangements. We’ll work with you to find the best solution for your specific situation.

When should I ship my flowers?

Important: Never ship over weekends – flowers will sit in warm warehouses and deteriorate. Always ship early in the week for optimal freshness and follow our detailed shipping instructions.

Flower Preservation Process

Can you work with flowers that are already dried?

Yes, we can work with pre-dried flowers, though the final result may differ from fresh flower preservation. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Why don't you use fresh flowers?

Resin and moisture don’t work together. We need your flowers to be completely dry before casting in resin, and frames require moisture-free flowers to prevent rotting.

Can all flowers be preserved?

Most flowers can be preserved, though some varieties work better than others. We’ll discuss any specific concerns about your bouquet during our consultation.

Do you use all the flowers in my bouquet?

We work exclusively with your actual wedding flowers to ensure authenticity and sentimental value. We carefully select and arrange flowers to create the most beautiful composition for your chosen piece. Not every stem may be used, but we ensure your piece captures the essence of your bouquet.

What to Expect

Will my flowers look exactly like they did at my wedding?

While we preserve the beauty and character of your flowers, some natural color changes may occur during the preservation process. This is completely normal and often adds beautiful vintage charm to your piece.

Will my flowers stay the same colour?

Some colour variation is natural in flower preservation. Our UV-resistant resin helps minimize colour changes, but slight variations can occur over time, especially with certain flower types. These changes often enhance the vintage appeal of your heirloom piece.

What about blown-open or very mature flowers?

If your florist plans to “blow open” your flowers (rolling petals back for fuller blooms), please let us know in advance. While beautiful for your wedding day, these delicate flowers may not preserve optimally. Very open or aged flowers may not withstand the preservation process as well as fresher blooms.

What if my flowers won't preserve well?

In situations where your original flowers may not preserve optimally, we’re happy to source matching flowers of the same variety and colour to create your stunning artwork. Additional sourcing fees may apply, and we’ll always discuss options with you before proceeding.

Timeline & Rush Orders

How long will it take to receive my artwork?
  • Resin pieces: 6 weeks for preservation + 6-12 weeks for casting
  • Framed pieces: 6 weeks for preservation + 3 weeks for design and mounting

We’ll provide you with a more specific timeline during your consultation based on your chosen pieces.

Can my order be rushed?

Rush orders may be possible depending on our current schedule. Additional fees may apply. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your timeline needs.

Resin Artwork Care

How do I care for my resin artwork?

Display your piece away from direct sunlight to maintain optimal colour. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Do all resins yellow over time?

Our premium casting resin contains UV inhibitors to prevent yellowing. When properly cared for and kept away from direct sunlight, your piece should maintain its clarity for years.

Flower Guidelines

Which flowers preserve beautifully?

Best varieties: Roses, Orchids, Peonies, Carnations, Lilies, Lisianthus, Hydrangeas, Tulips, Amaranths, Anemones, Snapdragons, Cockscomb (Celosia), Gladiolus, Wax-flowers, Thistle, Iris, Pincushion Proteas, Blushing Bride, Bells-of-Ireland, Ranunculus

Ideal greens & fillers: Ferns, Pampas Grass, Penny Gum, Rucus, Snow on the Mountain, Baby’s Breath

Which flowers should I avoid?

Unfortunately, these don’t preserve well:

  • Succulents, berries, and thick waxy leaves (high water content)
  • Anthuriums, Aspidistra (these lose colour and turn brown)
  • Sprays (they fall apart during preservation, though we can use the leaves in small pieces)
Can I include special elements from my venue?

Absolutely! Beautiful leaves, dried grasses, or even wedding confetti can add a unique, personal touch to your preserved piece. Just include these special elements with your flower shipment.

What should I NOT send?

Please don’t send anything sentimental that you’d want returned:

  • Special ribbons or wrapping
  • Photos or keepsakes attached to the bouquet
  • Family heirlooms or irreplaceable items

Remember: We work with your actual wedding flowers, so anything sent becomes part of the preservation process and cannot be returned.
